My friend the other day said oh we are 30 and I just said no I’m 29 till May

Do you have some kind of issue with turning 30?

Are you the weird poster who comes on regularly, late at night, with posts about rounding up ages? It’s tedious and I’m not sure what you get out of it.

What's your point OP? I only ask because it's a very weird thing to post about.

If you like having your exact age said in conversations then explain that to your friend. If you hate others thinking you are older than you actually are then keep clarifying your real age. But why do you feel it's such a problem when you will be 30 in only 4 months?

From 13 years into your future - which come at you really fucking fast - I can tell you yes, it really is.

Say you're 50. Then you'll get loads of compliments assuming you don't smoke 40 a day.

I tell everyone I’m 50, or sometimes I say I’m 20, depends on whether it’s a waxing or waning gibbous. Last time I looked, it hasn’t made a difference to my actual age, despite the moon cycle.

Why are you telling everyone your age @30inmay I'm nearly 60 - LOLOLOL - and I don't think ANYone has asked my age since I was maybe 19... and that was a bloke who was chatting me up (making sure I was 'old enough!')

And I have never voluntarily told people my age either!

Who goes around asking people their age, or TELLING people their age? Odd!

Far easier to round up to say 30 than to try and remember someone's birthday and do mental maths to say 29 years, 8 months, 3 days and four hours.

Do you round down your friends ages to 30 instead of saying they are 30 and 5 months? If not then why the angst over them rounding up? Just curious.

Add an adult do you often include months in your age? That's really weird.
I'm 41. The however many months are neither here nor there. But I'm not 42 so why would I round up?
My best friend is 39, not 40. I dont say that shes 39 and 10 months.
