Dds are horrified about 'soft kitty' origins- lighthearted!

I've been watching Young Sheldon on Disney. I've seen clips but not watched it but I loved BBT.
Both dds have now announced that they didn't know 'Soft Kitty ' came from BBT and are horrified i sung them a song from a show.! They are teenagers so everything is horrific.
Tell me how you have horrified your children- lighthearted please!

Why is the fact it came from a tv show horrifying?

I dabbed once. On the Runaway train at Disney before it set off. My kids were beyond horrified. Especially as the guy working the ride did it too 🤣🤣

Your teens should be more horrified at the fact that you sing soft kitty at them than where it came from.

My “kids” are 22 and 17 (18th birthday at the end of the month) and I’ve been doing the whole “six seven” thing everywhere. They’ve been too old for it so they’re absolutely mortified when I start it. It’s been brilliant. 😁

We sing a slightly different version as we are dog people now (rip kittys)

That's not where the song originated though. It's an old song. It was a regular on Play School (Australia) when I was young, long before Big Bang Theory.

Nothing makes me happier than mortifying the teen DC, so good work OP!

I particularly like @Billybagpuss version and will be singing that to myself for a while.

I look warmly at DD1 and just murmur "slay". It enrages her. It's great.
