Anyone tried a capsule wardrobe app?

I am tempted! My wardrobe looks full but its all clothes that dont match/compliment eachother or don't fit well. I would love a streamlined wardrobe eith a few nice outfits especially casual instead of a mish mash of crap basically 😂🙈

I tried one briefly but found it wasn't very useful, it may have been a rubbish one though. BUT it did give me the motivation to just get on and create a capsule wardrobe. I now have the 333 style capsule wardrobe and it is wonderful! I love getting dressed now

I removed everything out of my wardrobe, separated just the bits from the season I was in, so for example winter, and put everything else in a box so it wasn't so overwhelming.

Then I made piles of knitwear, nice tops, basic tops, bottoms and shoes and then decided which items of those piles I actually wear regularly and it was a pretty small amount in reality! Anything I don't remember wearing this winter or last winter immediately went without overthinking. Anything that wasn't in great condition anymore I also removed but made a note that it needed replacing. I ended up with around 36 items in total but then within a few weeks I still noticed two or three things I'd kept that I liked on the hanger but didn't reach to wear it and those have also now gone.

I just feel like it's more realistic than the capsule wardrobes you see with 25 pieces for all year round! I have a separate pile for exercise wear and another for work wear (because mine is dirty stuff as have an outdoor job, not office wear). Those bits don't count towards the 33 items

Yes I have horse wear & a bit of gym wear and a uniform for work so I would keep them seperate. I imagine this takes some work initially but then makes lige easier in the long run?

I didn't find it too much work (not as much as I thought when I kept putting it off!) - I think just doing it one season at a time helps. Another thing that helped me was going online and finding out roughly what colours I liked to wear the most, and what necklines. And then just removed anything I had that weren't in those categories. Once you start removing stuff it's less overwhelming. Now I just have blues and neutrals really as I'd often not wear anything else so now everything goes with everything!

What website did you use for colours amd neckline. I'd also like advice on this!

So I worked out my body shape via Pinterest diagrams and then searched Pinterest and Google for best necklines for that body shape. (I'm pear so it suggested high necks, boat necks, crew necks etc rather than v neck, low cut). For colours I googled lots of different ones, I think kettle well colours do an online quiz, I also asked chatGPT with a photo, and the few different ones I used all said the same - soft summer
