Night time routine with baby

Only 3 weeks in and finding the evenings a bit stressful in terms of baby naps and bedtime.
Just wondering what time others take their babies up to bed with them?
I know I shouldn’t stress and things will fall into place but just having one of those evenings ☹️

A routine at 3 weeks is a bit tricky! It’s a while since I did this but I can remember taking DD up with me about 10. I think whenever you know baby is due a feed it’s a good time to move upstairs and trying and settle things down. When they fall into more patterns of eating this all makes more sense.

At three weeks, you're only just getting to know your baby. Relax, go to bed when you want as the baby will definitely wake whenever he/she wants! Sleep when you can.

I am just so conscious about getting things “right” but I know it’s hard to get into bad habits/routines this early on.
Daytime nap/wake windows we seem to have sorted but the evening it all goes to pot lol x

I have an older DS too who is in a very set routine so maybe that’s why I’m struggling

I think slightly chaotic evenings are normal with such a young baby. I'd worry less about tracking wake windows/naps and just get to know your baby - they will let you know what they need and want. You've done this successfully once before so trust your instincts.
