I'm interested to know what you guys use yours for, and if I can see myself getting much use out of it.

Thanks in advance!

I think so. You can use it in loads of places for a decent discount. Definitely made the £5 a year back lots of times

DamnFineWoman · 02/02/2026 17:58

I had one for a couple of years, it paid for its membership but I found I spent more time looking for a deal than actually buying the bloody thing! Works well in the outdoor shops cos they linked it to your email so you didn’t have to have it with you. Don’t have one now and don’t miss it.

LeedsZebra90 · 02/02/2026 17:59

I use mine quite often for eating out, but since it rolled out to teachers it seems there is a lot less available - quite a lot where you have to buy vouchers now rather than get a discount code for things (ive nothing agajnst it being rolled out to teacher at all - just an observation.)

Periperi2025 · 02/02/2026 18:00

If you are planning to go to Alton towers or Longleat it is all worth it for the one trip alone.

Ralphschocolate · 02/02/2026 18:02

I've had mine for just over a year and have saved over £270.

I used it to book via AIRBNB, a large purchase from IKEA amongst other things.

drusilla49 · 02/02/2026 18:03

its definitely worth it. I’m not even particularly good at using mine but have saved multiples of the £5 charge

NedIsHereNow · 02/02/2026 18:03

We saved 20% on eating at Wagammas last week. Look at the list of shops that take it and see if it is worth it for you. It definitely is for us.

AddictedToTea · 02/02/2026 18:05

I make mine back every time I buy the kids a pair of Nike trainers! I don’t overly use it but I’ve definitely saved money over the years.

Sunnysidegold · 02/02/2026 18:07

I've really got the use out of mine. Regularly get 15 / 20 off bugger purchases from Currys and then used the voucher purchase for my new glasses in Specsavers.

I do find that as I live in NI a lot of the food chains aren't over here which is a shame.

xyzandabc · 02/02/2026 18:08

I got one last year and kept a spreadsheet (as I'm sad like that!) to see how much I saved. In the 1st year it saved me about £200.
Mostly 3.5% in supermarkets but also places like decathalon, Halfords, John lewis, mountain warehouse. Best savings was £40 off some Sony headphones for DD direct from Sony.
More recently £25 off a Garmin purchase, £7 off airport parking
Lots of small amounts add up over time.

Most tend to be buy a £100 gift voucher for £96.50 (or £200 for £193) then I just use that every time I go to the supermarket until I need to buy another one.

angelcake20 · 02/02/2026 18:08

Yes, I often forget to use it but we save plenty just on airport car parking.

kiwiane · 02/02/2026 18:11

I’ve saved on plenty in the past; it’s not so good now it’s used more widely. I’ve saved recently at Halfords on car seats, that easily pays the subscription.

wornoutjeans · 02/02/2026 18:12

I use mine all
the time . Especially handy for the cinema . And clothes for my kids

Qashgal · 02/02/2026 18:13

We found that it is 25% off food at Greene King pubs. Saved us a fortune when we eat out - plus its a great saving for everyone when eating out with friends.

Ilikewinter · 02/02/2026 18:26

We use ours for Haven, Away resorts etc, the savings normally mean the dog goes for free. Oh and another one for using in Greene King pubs!!

mrsdolittle · 02/02/2026 18:27

Haven’t used mine as much as I should but got 25% off Levi’s recently and similar for Sketchers. I think if you do the homework they are definitely worth having. I must try harder to make the most of mine. And for £5 you can’t really go wrong imo.

Duckingpondlake · 02/02/2026 18:33

It's a fiver for 2 years, I get.loads.of.worth from mine. Our local pub is a Greene King and we'll often go there for the kids to play in thr beer garden with friends after school in the summer, save about a tenner a week on that alone!

Wigeon · 02/02/2026 18:34

The pub nearest my (NHS) work (not a chain) accepts it and it's 10 or 20% off which is pretty good! Have also used it at Wahaca and I think that was 20% off which I think paid for the cost of the card.

ffsnewusername · 02/02/2026 18:37

My mum lived hers, but as a hospitality staff member please don’t get grumpy if our store doesn’t accept it 😂

tinytinyviolin · 02/02/2026 18:38

It’s £5 you really don’t need to use it much to get your money back!

Februarysiceandsleet · 02/02/2026 18:38

They don’t seem very good at communicating.

I paid for one several weeks ago but I can’t get it accepted online and the plastic version hasn’t arrived. I emailed them straight away, replied twice to their holding message saying that I did want help and their FAQs didn’t answer my question, but am still waiting for a reply.

Disturbia81 · 02/02/2026 19:03

100% worth it

3678194b · 02/02/2026 19:08

Yes, you can make the fee back just by the discount on dining out at one of the included restaurants.

Sadly, many retailers, Asda being one of them, have stopped offering a discount altogether now as more and more people have joined. Also until the last year or two I've was able to get free tickets for racing days etc, sadly it's much more difficult now, in fact I'm not sure 'Blue Light Tickets' even exists any longer.

I also remember some retailers were 20% discount, now have gone down to 15 or 10%. Still very likely to get your fee back though.

I remember when the card would last 5 years, now it's only 2.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 02/02/2026 19:14

Yes I umm’d and ahh’d about this and actually I’ve used it loads.

Sofachick6 · 02/02/2026 19:18

God yeah, I made the fiver back immediately , it’s especially good for Christmas. Starbucks , JD Sports, Ninja, and things like perfume shop and beauty bag, are all regulars for me.
