Manchester hotel with room service

duzzlightyearsmum · 01/02/2026 19:15

Hi we are looking to book a night at a hotel in Manchester as part of DS14's birthday present. He would love to be able to order breakfast to the room!

Any recommendations for hotels in Manchester which offer room service breakfast? Ideally not a premier inn/travelodge!

Thanks in advance

Don’t know about room service but this is lovely https://didsburyhouse.co.uk/ Didsbury is about 5 miles south of the city centre with plenty of cafes, restaurants and lovely parks. This hotel is a short walk from either Didsbury Village or East Didsbury tram stops.

Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go

Radisson Edwardian do and probably the Midland but never stayed there

TokyoSushi · 01/02/2026 19:24

Likely any 4+ hotel will have room service breakfast so have a browse on booking.com or similar and then look on the individual hotel website once you find one, 5 *definitely will but they’ll be £££ unless you can go on a Sunday night or in the summer when it’s not the football season (ex front desk manager in Manchester for many years!)

Sorry, Mumsnet doesn’t like my stars, but hopefully you get the idea!!

Thank you! Yes I have been browsing but there's so many (obviously) so I hoped people might have personal recommendations to help narrow my search!

The Edwardian and the Midland don't have a suitable room available for us - thank you for the suggestion though

Thank you, will look at Didsbury House!

I stayed at The Lowry years ago and it was one of the best room service experiences I’ve had and I’ve stayed in a lot of top hotels

Hoppinggreen · 01/02/2026 19:33

I think The Midland does
Maybe Hotel du Vin , Lowry
Not cheap though
There is Radission Blue

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 01/02/2026 19:34

The Lowry, decent location too.

Marylou2 · 01/02/2026 20:06

Stayed at the Lowry last week. It's lovely. Great service.

OnTheBoardwalk · 01/02/2026 20:21

Why doesn’t the midland have a suitable room for you?

I’ve not stayed at the Lowry but have been to functions there and they've been great. That’s where I would go

what about the Gotham hotel? Might be more up a 14 years old street and is more central

personally I don’t think Didsbury will give him the vibe he’s after

patooties · 01/02/2026 20:25

Second the didsbury not being what he might want. The kimpton (the refuge) or Dakota or Gotham have been popular when we have had visitors to the city. There’s one called the Treehouse (that I’ve not been to but have been told is amazing)

OnTheBoardwalk · 01/02/2026 20:50

The kimpton (the refuge)

oh yes the Kimpton. My parents won an overnight stay there from a local radio station, they only live 5 miles away

the hotel made a massive fuss of them and they really enjoyed it

bet they’d make a massive fuss over a 14 years old on his birthday

FrozenFightFlight · 01/02/2026 20:56

Gotham definitely do and it’s great!

Peabody25 · 01/02/2026 22:22

we stayed here in summer and it’s lovely, really good location as well right in the city centre and it looks like they’ve got a full room service breakfast menu. https://www.melia.com/en/hotels/united-kingdom/manchester/innside-manchester

duzzlightyearsmum · 02/02/2026 17:24

Thanks everyone! We've booked the kimpton - it looks perfect for what we wanted

Great news @duzzlightyearsmum hope you have a great time

dont forget to tell them it’s a special occasion - maybe the room service bit and I’m sure they'll make an extra fuss

Mirrorxxx · 02/02/2026 20:49

I have stayed at the treehouse in London and they had good room service. Only been to the bar and screening room on the Manchester one as I live here
