I mean I need to vent and to some people these may seem unimportant but it’s been a week.
tbh Monday started out okay…
Tuesday I receive a call from the hospital to say that the machine needed for DS 18 eye surgery is broken and they need to postpone it for another month. He’s been waiting since July. So of course that put him out of sync with the build up etc.
wednesday dd12 ingrown toe nail got progressively worse, she then proceeded to kick someone shoe causing what I can only imagine to someone walking in the house, looked like a massacre. Blood literally dripping everywhere. I’ve been to the doctors 3 times since September, they kept shrugging it off, finally they referred her end of November, filled in a form for the podiatry department and heard nothing since, I sent them a picture of her toe and on Thursday received a phone call to say that she’s been fastracked on the list. I mentioned we needed it sorted before out holiday and that the doctors had dragged thier feet otherwise it could have been sorted well before. She told me that it wouldn’t be before March and the doctors should have said she can’t go on holiday after the procedure. I told her I’d booked the holiday well before any of this started happening. She then started saying how she doesn’t know what’s worse walking around after the procedure in pain or with the ingrown toenail, I reminded her dd has been walking around in pain since September so it makes no difference. I also told her I’m not cancelling my holiday because it should have been sorted months ago, and it’s a holiday of a lifetime. Suddenly she offered me a phone consultation 🤷🏼♀️
I also get an email from DS college requesting a meeting at the college for 20 minutes, with DS who is autistic. The college is a 50 min bus journey. Regarding his attendance… I’ll admit he’s caught every bug going but in regards to his course is in front workwise. He was listed for maths and English but he doesn’t go for mental health reasons and they were supposed to take him off the timetable. Which was a whole mission on its own. Anyway his maths teacher marks him as not required and his English teacher marks him as absent… so as you can imagine puts a pretty hefty dent in the absence. The communication is seriously lack. I emailed to say we’d prefer a teams meeting as it suggested we could and that the time arranged wasn’t going to work as I need to be on the meeting and I finish work at the time given and could we push it back an hour. No reply.
that same day I’m on my way home from work and I’m in the phone to DP, I’m never loud on the bus as I don’t like people listening to my conversations. There were a few people talking at the back, next thing some elderly lady who was sitting across the aisle starts screaming at me to keep my tone down and it’s illegal to use your phone on the bus. At this point I just laughed in her face and carried on my conversation, tbh I was almost finished but decided to prolong it just to piss her off more. Even the girl in front turned and gave her a dirty look. Her husband looked embarrassed. I could feel her staring at me the whole phone conversation. Finally when I finished I played my music and the funniest part of the whole situation…. My music was full blast in my AirPods, as I don’t like listening to what’s going on around me, and I could hear her over my AirPods talking to her husband…. Talk about double standards.
then when I was having a quick drink of water she was watching me, I was about to ask her if me drinking was too loud for her aswell but i stopped myself because the mood I was in I probably wouldn’t have stopped and I’d look like the dick.
Last night I was clock watching and only managed 2 hours sleep and now I’m wide awake with no tiredness what so ever.
