How to cover belly button in tight dress

I've managed to lose nearly 40lbs in the last 7 months mainly through the gym. I've really been working on my core but I cannot quite tone up/get rid of the fatty area around my belly button.
I'm going to a wedding in 4 months and I have got a beautiful dress to wear. It's so flattering, ideal for the season and the venue and I feel like a million ££ in it. The only problem is it is form fitting and therefore you can see the belly button indent which I think looks horrible.

Do any of you have any top tips to hide the indent? Obviously I will be continuing at the gym regardless so might have worked it off by then, but if not I need a backup!

Congratulations on your weight loss - you've done brilliantly!

A few options:

  • shapewear
  • a nipple cover
  • cotton wool secured with medical (paper) tape

Hope you have a wonderful time!

Spanks or something similar? Otherwise the only thing I can think of is surgical tape or those sort of nipple cover stickers, but I’m not sure if they would work…?
ps well done on the weight loss and getting to the gym!

what about using a nipple cover sticker thing? Would that help hide the area for the dress?

I've got some silicone tape from a horrible scar (didn't work on that sadly) but might work!
Just wish I could smooth out my belly! Significantly smaller but now, instead of round, I have little bulges.

I know this is silly, but I really don't want to wear shapeware. I've worked so hard on losing the weight and have completely changed by body shape and I'm so proud that I kind of want to show it off, for some reason I feel like shapeware will be like a cheat. I know that's daft. Then again I need to tackle what underwear to wear yet....I'm tempted to just go without

Sheer control tights.

There’s a lot to enjoy in between skimpy pants with no structure and support, and shapewear. A more substantial pair of pants, with tummy smoothing, will do exactly that. They don’t hold you in and restrict you, just smooth the texture of the skin. It can be a bit orange peel like from pregnancy stretch marks.

Sheer control tights.

Definitely won't be wearing tights. Cannot stand the things! Massive sensory overload

I wear shape wear so clothes glide over my body rather than highlight any bumps. It’s not cheating! You’re totally overthinking it. Every great outfit starts with great underwear.
