Actually missing the flu due to anxiety flooding back

Ok so i’ve been completely bedridden with the flu for two weeks, this is the first time in 12 years I’ve ever had to get a sicknote from the doctors and had this time off work. Obviously the flu has been horrendous and I wouldnt want this again (I’m still not 100% now have nausea and laryngitis) however what I have noticed now I am getting better is the fact that I was actually able to switch off completely and I was so ill my anxiety wasn’t anywhere to be found. Now I’m getting better the anxiety has come back and it feels so much louder as I didn’t have it for this short time. It’s even coking out in my sleep as well my anxious dreams over the last few days.

Question is what have people taken to help with their anxiety? After this horrible flu I feel I need do build myself up again. Preferably natural alternatives, any supplements etc I have had prescribed medication but they don’t work for me unfortunately (side effects etc)

Hi op
So you’re feeling anxious.
not sure about any natural alternatives, maybe camomile tea or valerian.
side effects tend to subside with prescription meds after a few weeks. What have you been prescribed?
