Are there any good non alcoholic white wines?

The only alcohol I miss is a cold glass of Sauvignon blanc on a Friday night. I could almost taste it last night.

DH went out and bought a non alcoholic version and it tasted awful.

A couple of friends on a group chat then confirmed, there are no nice ones.

Tell me it’s not true 😂 I’m hoping the world of mumsnet will have a non alcoholic white wine connoisseur ready to uplift my weekend!

I recently tried the M and S NZ one and it was the closest but still tasted like watered down wine. I wouldn’t buy it again. DH bought 2 bottles £12.50 each for Christmas and it was like vinegar. Both from M and S.
I’m like you - the only thing I miss is a chilled glass of Sauvignon. I don’t miss anything else.
We’ve recently discovered a good Aperol substitute - Crodino. It’s very good.

I am also searching for this unicorn, lol. There are defo decent AF beers and ciders, but AF still wine just doesn’t seem to be so easy to make. (Agree that Nosecco is a very decent Prosecco substitute, but I do prefer still wine to fizzy). I haven’t yet tried Kylie’s wine but will give it a go when I see it available. Currently trying Zero Regrets AF wine which I saw in Aldi. It’s defo better than most and I would recommend you try it, but it’s not the same so the search continues.

McGuigan Zero is the only brand that still has the "zing" of alcohol to me.

It's a well-known Australian brand where they make the normal wine and then remove the alcohol. Ends up being about the same price as normal wine.

The white is pretty good, but the rose is even better.

Following with interest too. I’ve yet to find one that tastes anything like real wine and I’m not that keen on sparkling wine.
DH says % Guinness is as good as the original and I like Peroni % etc but it’s a decent wine I’m after too!

we can get one called Not Guilty which isn't bad

I work in this sector and can confirm that no they are no nice ones.

Another vote for the Freixnet 0% sparkling.

The 0% tanquaray is almost undetectable in taste of you like gin.

But I resent paying alcohol prices for essentially a soft drink so would rather have a sharp soft drink instead, a flavoured tonic or something grapefruity.

Paaseitjes · 31/01/2026 19:48

Cul Sec Domaine! It's not fake wine, it's carefully designed as an alternative. It's really good

yellowsun · 31/01/2026 19:54

We tried a few this month and the only pleasant one was McGuigan.

gototogo · 31/01/2026 20:03

I’ve not found a single low or no alcohol drink that’s palatable, I just have tonic water

SisterTeatime · 31/01/2026 20:03

No, there aren’t any good whites. Nozeco (sp) is nice. M&S rose, very chilled, I think is lovely but compared to real wine it’s on the sweeter side. I like the pink Kylie, but it doesn’t taste like wine at all, more like a dryish raspberry flavour.

GreenRedFlowers · 31/01/2026 20:05

I like Eisberg Sauvignon Blanc, it's better than their Chardonnay and I prefer it to the McGuigan 0.0, althought that is acceptable.

I had the M&S own label one and that is also acceptable.

Let's face it, if you like wine, the non-alcholic stuff is always going to be grape juice on a scale of bad to acceptable. It's never going to be amazing; perfectly pleasant is the max you will get.

I quite like Fizzero which I think is better than NoSecco. The Noughty sparking one is also good but a bit too expensive compared to Fizzero.

gototogo · 31/01/2026 20:05

The af ale is all horrid, I honestly don’t know how anyone drinks it, clear head is so popular it’s on draft here but it’s fire

FeministThrowingAPrincessParty · 31/01/2026 20:22

This article recommends a 6% Sauvignon blanc and some other no and low alcohol wines. I haven’t tried any yet. www.theguardian.com/thefilter/2025/jul/27/best-non-alcoholic-low-alcohol-wines

TheWelshposter · 31/01/2026 20:25

I couldn't find one...even the 0% prosecco s taste like shloer to me. I drink the Asda alcohol free gin, there's original, rhubarb and berries I think. Or Corona cero with lime.
