Delonghi customer service

I bought a De’Longhi Rivelia on 1 Jan this year. The grounds tray would not open so I contacted Delonghi and they arranged collection. They initially advised up to 10 working days to get a replacement. This period has now passed and I have as yet not heard anything back. I keep speaking to customer services, who frankly just take calls and say they will pass it on. They don't have the authority to issue refunds or action anything. I feel like my hands are tied. I have sent emails, put a review on trust pilot, asked on a live chat. I'm not getting anywhere. Can anyone offer any advice?

No advice, but when I ordered a refurbished machine from them and it came without a part they could not have been more helpful.

Customer service in the UK adheres closely to the Pareto principle. That is 80% is totally shite and the remaining 20% make the average "OK".
