What paperwork do I need to keep?

Going through my desk 😱 music lesson receipts from 2023, dentist bills, freezer receipt etc
What do you keep? What do you throw? What should be scanned and thrown? Or scanned and kept? How do you know?

I mean, literally none of that needs to be kept. I don’t keep any paperwork. Mortgage statements are available online as are bank statements so there’s literally nothing you need to keep….

Most ‘important’ documents are online these days so I don’t tend to keep a lot. Lifebooks, wills and POAs I keep paper copies of (just for convenience really). Receipts for big purchases only but again these mostly come through online/via email now. You just need to go through things and decide whether to keep or not based on each content.
