Help - Best villages to live near Worcester?

I’ve got to move to Worcester with my family (primary age kids) for work…

Can anyone local recommend the best villages to live in, max 20 mins drive from Worcester?

We are going to live in airbnbs while we find something permanent

A village would ideally have a pub and primary school? Beautiful countryside, but NOT in the shade of the hills?

Our house budget will be £700k or possibly a bit more.

We love old-woldy places and period properties where possible!

thanks so much, it’s hard starting to look when you don’t know an area at all!

I’m sure I’ve read an identical thread already this morning.

Do you want more villages that fit your criteria to be magically appear?

Cradley is a gorgeous village and has a very good primary school. My step grandson lived there with his stepmum and was very well supported through the school.

Have a look at Broadwas and surrounding villages - it's beautiful, close enough to Worcester and handy for the M5 for when you need to travel 😍

Great Malvern is beautiful. Don’t know if it’s “in the shadow of the hills” but close enough for some lovely walks and to appreciate all that the area has to offer.

Ombersley would probably fit the bill: cute pubs, black& white timber frame houses, upmarket brunch place, very old church, surrounded by open countryside... About seven miles from Worcester and on the way to tenbury wells. Lovely riverside pub with sprawling gardens also nearby.

Which side of Worcester do you need to be for work? That’s the biggest factor in deciding where to live imo- Ombersley is lovely, but would be a pita for the University
