Scared about FESS operation

I've got an operation coming up for FESS and polypectomy.

I've had polyps for years and years (they've linked it to my asthma for some reason). I've had different steroid sprays for the polyps, but they all end up causing infections, (unlike my steroid inhaler).

I had an MRI which showed grade 4 polyps and the lining of my sinuses and paranasal sinuses has significant inflammatory changes and bone damage.

I was put on the list for surgery and have a date.

But I'm now freaking out. I had surgery on my ankle and my BP went very low and I had to go to ICU. The surgery wasn't a success and I needed more surgery, but would rather carry on in pain and having to walk with a crutch, than go through it again.

I've no problems with my nose unless I get a cold, so to think that it is supposed to be really bad is weird.

I also have ferritin of 8 and iron deficiency along with low MCV and MCH, so worry about bleeding, as they told me to expect that.

Also my DD is due to take GCSEs just after...I'm a stupid wimp, but I'm scared of surgery, terrified of GA. I think it started after my youngest was born and I lost 3.5ltrs of blood and she died (I was awake and heard the BP monitors going off and the call for blood, as well as feeling really unwell). Ever since, EVERY procedure in hospital has led to very low BP/
