Those who go to the gym, do you do virtual classes?

My gym does a mixture of instructor led classes, and virtual classes on a roll down screen. They do one yoga class and one pilates class a week and they are ALWAYS fully booked with a waiting list. Both of these classes have an in-person instructor.

I was browsing the classes a few days ago and clicked on one called Body Balance. It’s described as a combination of yoga, tai chi and pilates. It’s a virtual class. I booked it and currently I’m the ONLY person booked onto it! The class is this afternoon and there are still 41 of 42 places available 🤣 I honestly thought it would be more popular considering how quickly the yoga and pilates classes get booked up. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s a virtual class and people don’t like them 🤔

We have them at my gym and they don’t seem very popular. I did a virtual spin class which was better than the live one as it didn’t have a shouty instructor and excessively loud music!

I used to do virtual spin and bloody loved it! The classes were really popular too and sometimes booked out. Body Balance was definitely less popular, but go with what appeals to you

Our gym offers a few virtual classes and they are poorly attended. If ive paid my membership I expect a live instructor!
I suspect they brought them in so they dont have to pay an instructor.
Enjoy balance; I do the class on a monday

I did a body conditioning class yesterday, tonnes of lunges and squats with dumbbells and a barbell. My legs are killing today so I’m looking forward to a nice gentle class of stretching and breathing 🤣 Even better if I get the whole studio to myself!

Ours have a on demand classes on the app. Not many more would be better but if for whatever reason I can’t get on a class or get to the gym I’ll do one of those, it is a pain as you have to keep moving the device around to be able to see what’s going on.

Body balance can be challenging even though its all body weight. You can choose the best space in the studio!

I do a virtual spin class, I'm the only one there and I bloody love it. I can grunt and puff away without embarrassment!

Will actually be a bit put out now of someone else joins my private class for one. 😂

15 minutes until the class and I’m still the only one booked in 🤣 I think I’m going to enjoy this if no-one else appears!

I have done quite a bit of body balance but with an instructor and also do lots of other classes, it’s not necessarily gentle and some of the balances can be quite tough although I also do a lot of yoga

Ooh I really enjoyed that! Totally peaceful, no-one else there and I got the best spot in the room 🤣 I even treated myself to two cushion mats to put under my yoga mat 🤣
