Just did mine which was 10 years out of date and had a name change. Only took 9 days!

Yes, the old passport was taken to the post office at 2.15 on Thurs and sent tracked (have the receipt)
the texts go as follows
Thurs 13.54 you’ve applied….
Fri 11.59 we’ve received your old…
sat 08.56 we’ve approved your applicstion
Mon 08.46 your passport has been printed…
Then Royal Mail
Today 10.55 your item is due for delivery between 10.30-3.05 today.

I had the photo taken at Snappy Snaps and they gave me the code to upload onto the online application. Great system.

I can now escape the country.

Applied on Monday, new passport arrived today (Thursday)! Just the bog standard service, not fast track. Amazed!
