Would you keep your child off school?

My daughter had an awful sickness bug, bad enough to end up in hospital with severe dehydration. She was home on Friday, had Friday and today (Monday) off school. She is a lot better in herself but still hasn’t eaten a full meal and also not been for a 💩 since Thursday. Should I keep her off a further day? I don’t want her to miss school, I had hoped for her to go back today but she’s not quite there. I’d feel better if she was able to eat properly and working all as it should, would you keep her off another day? She has already had 3 days off, she has very good attendance and generally never poorly! Thanks :-)

Of course keep her off if shes not eating properly see how she is in a couple days and has started eating again

Yes I’d keep her off. I wouldn’t worry about 💩 as if she’s not eating and has been vomiting she’s not got much solid food to pass. But I’d give her another 24 hours to settle her tummy and be able to tolerate food. Poor kid so sorry for you all!

Has it been a full 48 hours since her last sickness episode? Even if that's the case, another day at home is probably sensible if she still isn't eating or showing normal energy levels.
