Favourite food and drink combinations

What's your favourite food and drink combination. Not necessarily your favourite food, or drink, or both - but the perfect pairing?

For me there is something fantastic about

• burger and beer (ale)
• ready salted crisps and v cold white wine, preferably a bit oaky or fizz.
• spicy curry and a long lime and soda with tonnes of ice

Copious amounts of chocolate and a hot cup of tea.

Cup of tea and a dark chocolate digestive for dunking.

Absolutely the champagne and seafood mentioned earlier.

More realistically, coffee and chocolate.

Streaky bacon and egg mayo al la pret's breakfast sandwich.

Shortbread and tea.

French stick and butter.

Very dry cava and olives.

I don't think anything beats the champagne and seafood suggestion mentioned upthread. Preferably one of those massive platters to share with crusty bread and with a sea view

How could I forget coffee and a cinnamon swirl. My weekend treat most Saturdays 😍

Someone upthread reminded me of a combo I haven't had in ages: blue cheese and red wine. 😊

Steak and red wine

Strong black filter coffee and digestive biscuits

I think overall digestives are my favourite biscuit

Pizza and red wine.

Full English breakfast with orange juice and coffee.

Fish and chips and a cup of tea.
