Breastfeeding tops

What's everyone's preference?

Do you find the zips easiest or prefer the flap or poppers?

I've only ever tried zips but find them fiddly one handed sometimes

Currently on the look out for some new ones- I've tried Juno Jacks - any other brands you would recommend?

I bought a couple of Bshirts from vinted with my last baby (had them with DC2 and found them easy) and wore them to start with…. In the end I just wore normal tops and whipped it up to feed (3rd baby and didn’t really care as much as with previous babies!).

I loved the Juno Jacks dresses for summer. I bought them pre loved from Holleo and they were in excellent condition!

All the breastfeeding tops I bought were just not nice on me and so much faff with all the layers/flaps/zips. I barely wore them. But I also bought a few breastfeeding vests and these have been fantastic for me. I can wear them under any of my normal clothes instead of a bra and then it means my body is always covered so I can just pull my normal clothes up and the vest cup down as required.

I got Bravado ones in their closing down sale which have been my favourite, but lots of the big retailers sell them e.g. M&S, H&M.

i found any top with a nursing vest underneath worked great. The H&M vests were my favourite, as you can just lift your top up without exposing your stomach.

Pretty mama T-shirts, fleeces and hoodies were great for me. Never had a chance to try the dresses xx

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely be checking out the breastfeeding vests

I just bought some cheap stretchy vest tops from Primark, wore under a regular top and they were stretchy enough to just pull the vest top down (so no faffing with clips) & the top up. I'm a 32J so not a small chest to pull down under either Grin

YourMintTraybake · 26/01/2026 12:05

I've heard of these but didn't know what the quality was like, I'll check them out, thankyou

I always found BF tops just expose you far more than the vest under a jumper trick! In the summer they are handy though.

quality is really good and zips nice a smooth/barely visible and on an angle so it’s easier for access! Better than others I tried and they wash good. I’ll definitely be donating them when I’m done!
I’ve just bought my sis in law the chocolate brown jumper.

The strangest are the ones that unclip at the shoulder - of the tshirt or jumper, surely exposing your entire breast.

Christmassparkletree · 26/01/2026 21:04

Yep the pull up, pull down method! I never needed to buy a specific breastfeeding top. Always wore a vest top underneath a regular top. Pull up the T-shirt/jumper and pull down the vest top.

I've ordered a couple of the oversized tshirts to try 😁

I just wear any top I can pull up or unbutton, with a strappy vest underneath. Works well and I haven’t had to buy anything except for nursing bras.
