I've never been successful with command strips but perhaps have chosen the wrong ones.
Disaster trying to use use those little brass hooks with 3 tiny nails
Wall is solid brick. Plastered and painted.
Please help .

Blu-tac on each corner?

Command Strips are ok within the specified limits but it all depends on the surface you are sticking to. Loose, dusty, flaking paint/plaster means there is nothing for the adhesive to get a purchase to. At best, it will come away from the wall with the paint stuck to it.
Likewise an uneven surface, if the adhesive can't get a grip then it will fail.
Personally, we never use them as both my OH & I can handle DIY.

Can you not just drill a hole (after checking for concealed services of course)?
If you don't have a drill, can a family member, friend, neighbour, colleague help?
Put a request out on the local FB group, happens all the time here.

Command strips?

@Nourishinghandcream I think it probably will have to be friend /neighbour as you suggest.
