Dd is off travelling next month. She’s going to Sri Lanka then Vietnam, Singapore and on to Aus/New Zealand.

Its her 23rd birthday before she goes and as well as some noise cancelling headphones she’s asked for, I’d like to get her a few other bits for her travels.

I know a money belt is a good idea, any other suggestions please?

Ziplock bags, to pack things that can leak inside (learnt the hard way) washing soap leaves for hand washing (get 2 packs as you need more than indicated on the pack) water bottle with filtration, first aid items including rehydration and Imodium

Hand held fan.
Mosquito repellant wrist bands
Small bottles of hand sanitiser
Wet wipes
Power bank
Sun block
Hair bobbles/travel sized hairbrush and mirror (if she is backpacking)

Airalo or Holafly e-sim for the region she’s going to, or even Honest mobile global smart sim (data for where there’s no wifi and works with imessage/whatsapp/messenger, various banking and other apps etc @bendmeoverbackwards

Air Tag if you can stretch to one. She’ll know where her bag is at all times.

A rubber doorstop so she can sleep safely at night

When my DD travelled, it was in rooms in hostels with lots of others so a doorstop wouldn't have helped very much!,
