I need to tell someone and I've chosen MN!

My boyfriend isn't a flowers buyer, but he unexpectedly turned up with a bunch tonight.

He finally told me he loved me over new year.

All the things he was hesitant about in 2025 finally seem to have clicked into place for him in 2026.

He's just gone home and I'm sitting here glowing with joy.

18 months together. He's always been worth waiting for to get his head to this point.

Can't wait for what our future holds.

Ah this is so lovely. It took my partner a good while too as he’d been brined badly by his ex and didn’t seem to want to open his heart fully - then something changed and he was all in.

I had one of these. We had a slow shaky start because he was very reserved with sharing his feelings and I had some insecurities! Our first row was actually because he told me he loved me (a year in!!!) and I was confused because I’d kind of given up!

But eventually I learned to understand his lack of words or explicit actions was meaningless against how consistent he was in support of me, calmly, quietly there for me and I could see it clearly as soon as I stopped looking for the big stuff.

8 years on, he’s the best DH and I’m more and more appreciative of him every year!
