I'm near Morrisons tomorrow ,what wee treats are worth getting for DW and myself?

The fresh Indian food is good - bhajis and samosas - usually found near the cheese which is also worth a look for a few random flavours. I rate their own brand crisps and chocolate more so than most supermarkets. Cheese topped rolls. Knock offs of stuff like rice packets are worth the saving, and the condiments/herbs/rubs are nice too. Good ice cream selection.

I have a nice but small Morrisons near me, I mix it up with other shops and go every 2-3 weeks.

Salt and pepper fresh tiger loaf (they will slice ot for you) is like actual crack with lurpak... run don't walk to the bakery section 😅😅

With the cream cakes and fresh desserts they do a Black Forest pudding pot which I always make a bee line for!

Salt and pepper bread is gorgeous!

they also do hog roast sausage rolls in the hot food counter which are very nice (if you like a bit of a stodgy treat)

Their fish counter is the best.

Kitterkitkat · 23/01/2026 20:19

I love their tubs of popcorn.

They used to do lemon biscuits and French ground coffee, both excellent. Sadly the small one near new place has limited options so doesn't stock either.

Tetchypants · 23/01/2026 20:20

Oh yes, forgot the salt and pepper bread! Thick with Lurpak - yum.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 23/01/2026 20:21

If they have a good fish counter, their fresh whole/half salmon is highly recommended! I cut them up into portions of reasonable sizes (i.e. bigger than the slivers that supermarkets sell) and freeze any that would go off before I can eat them. Oh, and the langoustines are good!

Sometimes the hot meat counters have cooked chickens. Pop that on salt and pepper bread with some good butter, and it will be the finest thing that you eat all day!

Tiny pots of jam like you get in hotels. (I like jam here and there but always end up throwing it out as ive not eaten it. W the small pots less waste

CalmShaker · 23/01/2026 20:22

They don't do it in all their stores but in mine you can get a 2.5kg pasty, it's absolutely massive and a real challenge to eat in one sitting

Barneybagpuss · 23/01/2026 20:26

Brilliant cheese counter

Weegieunicorn · 23/01/2026 20:42

Large fresh cream cake. Good value and serves a few.
