Why is it so hard to find a good massage therapist?

Hello

Yeah, I know, first world problems.

I used to enjoy a massage every few months but the place I used closed down during covid and the main girl I saw moved away.

Now I find it impossible to find anyone decent.

Problems:

  1. it's far too light - basically stroking you with oil (spa/beauty therapist type places) or
  2. it's far too painful (physio/sports massage type places).
  3. None of them pay attention when I say something like "you'll need to do it MUCH harder than that please" or "that's too hard, you're actually bruising me". (I say it more politely but that's the gist)
  4. places are either hard to get booked into or your appointment gets rescheduled at short notice.

Waahhhhh.

I have very VERY good one. And she comes to my house. And she doesn't cost an absolute fortune so I can (just about) afford a regular monthly massage.

I know of three. One makes visits. Ask around
