Lightweight but sturdy. For a chunky 98th centile 8 month old. No budget really but I guess cheaper the better! I want to get rid of my heavy 11kg travel system pram and get a buggy!

I really love our bugaboo butterfly. We use it every day and also when traveling (fits in overhead compartment)

I had the uppababy mini v2. There’s a v3 out now. Can’t speak to that version but I loved my v2. Super light weight, one hand fold and it’s got slightly bigger wheels to handle itself better for day to day use compared with the yoyo. Either way, the minu, yoyo, butterfly or joolz aer are all really good buggies in the lightweight, travel stroller category.
There are loads of YouTube comparison videos out there. Worth a watch to see what’s most important to you I.e is it cabin sized when folded if that’s a factor for you? what kind of terrain will you be using it for? A high centile child might need the butterfly for example as it goes up to a larger height if I remember correctly, but equally that might not be as important if you have a child who likes to walk once they walking. Mine were all “I wanna walk”ers by about 2.5.
The other consideration is what comes with it. I found the butterfly and aer were ££ but I could justify it for the usage, but then you had to pay extra for things like rain covers and bumper bars, so they actually ended up £££.
I think all of them are really good though and you can’t go wrong with any of them.

I used a cheap umbrella buggy with mine, had a single and a double that reclined. Mine was graco brand

Bugaboo Butterfly or Baby Jogger City Mini GT. my 6yr can still sit in the baby jogger if needed. I like the baby jogger fold and light weightness

We have a Mountain Buggy Swift, good if you do rougher terrain, but we also have a Joie Nitro stroller for travelling, keep in the car, nursery runs - might be worth checking the storage provision if you'll be walking to childcare in the future as ours has limited storage so an umbrella fold like that is much easier to store.

I have an uppababy minu v2 and its not very deep in the seat depth. For a chunky 98th centiler, id be worried about that. Its a brilliant buggy - so light, good basket size, so def worth checking the v3 (which folds even smaller) and seeing if the dimensions have changed and would suit. Was brilliant for my 25th centiler!

Baby Joggers are fab. They fit a 5 yr old, so if your little one is likely to be a bigger toddler they are brilliant. And fold one handed. And they last! We are taking mine to Australia with a nearly 5 yr old and a chunky 1 yr old and both will end up in it at different times!
