Looked at light bulb for too long

Hi, my daughter shone a bright light bulb into my eyes for about 5 seconds. It's left me with a flashing light when I blink and bad eye tension. It's been 6 days now and I'm worried it's permenant. Opticianshave checked my eyes and said all OK. GP have no idea why it's lasting. I have dry eye anyway but didn't think it would last this long. I'm finding it hard to work and just look at anything in general. I've been wearing my sunglasses a bit to block out light. Any help at all would be appreciated.

And you just stared at it for 5 seconds?

Can't have been much longer, it's definitely been brought on by that though. It was a very bright bulb but just your usual one from b and m so should do damage.
