If you had that bad flu/virus in December, how are you now?

I had that rotten virus (flu? covid? other?) over a month ago. After a few days of being wiped out I was able to get back to work, but luckily it wasn't too long before the Christmas break. Took it very easy then. But I'm still wiped. Main things are tiredness but being quite puffed or unable for any exertion. I used to go the gym three times a week for a good workout, so this isn't normal for me. I can go for a walk, but uphill or up steps I'm totally puffed. I had to run for a bus the other day and it wasn't normal breathlessness after a sprint, it felt like my lungs were suctioning together trying to get the air back in. Tried the gym over Christmas and couldn't cope. I love the gym but have no desire to go back yet. Anyone else taking ages to get fully back to normal?

I thought it was just me. I have a fairly complex medical history but the breathlessness and fatigue are really taking their toll on me now. To add even more joy to the pot, i have now developed a sinus infection which has totally blocked up my ears. Roll on summer and an end to these winter bugs.

My friend had it really bad and developed a chest infection so was put on antibiotics. She has recovered now but it sounded horrible and she is tired.

Me and my husband are 2.5 and 3 weeks in so far and only just recovering, I’m an asthmatic so straight to my chest and have the usual asthmatic chest infection, I changed the bed today and it wiped me out all day, I’m exhausted coughing like I’m on 90 a day and sound like I’m running a mucky phone line! All in all I’m not doing that well, my husband is nearly back to fighting fit but he’s still not 100% after three weeks, we’ve no idea what it is but we’ve both been bed ridden for days on end which isn’t like us at all
