Amazon chargeback

I ordered something for my daughter at Christmas from Amazon that I didn’t receive, it was left outside my property on a main road near a bin, I contacted Amazon but they said because I had a refund before for an item I hadn’t received they were not going to refund me this time which I thought was odd as both times they items were left outside on a main road within full view of passers by. I contacted my bank and asked them to do a charge back which they did. Anyway Amazon have now contacted me asking me what the charge back was for and telling me they will charge any card on my account for the money back?? Has this happened to anyone before? Should I contact my bank and let them know they have said this?

Absolute cheek of them!

I’d simply go back and tell them that as the item wasn’t delivered and they refused a refund, you did a chargeback. They have no legal leg to stand on, the parcel was left outside so they need to take it up with their courier, it can’t be proven it was delivered.

I would only contact the bank again if the payment comes out again.

Thank you, yes I’ve deleted all my payment methods on there and cancelled prime. Won’t be using it again!
