Anyone else made a tit of themselves at their offspring's wedding??

Or seen any other mother or father of the bride do likewise?

I'm imagining Victoria having one two many bucks fizz and harking back to her Spice Girl's heyday and throwing some moves. I wonder if they were really inappropriate or just a little indecorous. The Bride's parents might be a little snobby about the Beckham's less than aristocratic roots - maybe they found his family a bit too 'common',

I know there's more to this than the wedding dance but I am intrigued by exactly what she did?

I suspect he highlighted it because it was a small snapshot of a distressing dynamic she's put him in. We have no idea what happens behind closed doors (maybe nothing, maybe something)

Those of us with some insight into inappropriate maternal behaviour aren't viewing this whole thing as a fun bit of entertainment.

Until his statement yesterday I quite liked her. But I believe him, it took courage.

Taking over the first dance is more than a little indecorous.

But the Peltzes are just as much new money as the Beckhams. Nelson Peltz has made crazy money, but isn't from any kind of upper-class background. He dropped out of university to drive a delivery truck in his grandfather's food distribution business. I mean, his background is not dissimilar to those of David and Victoria Beckham in that they're all self-made from modest backgrounds.

Years ago at a former colleagues wedding reception her mother (who had often been mentioned for being an attention seeking nightmare) was drunk and decided she wanted to recreate the Dirty Dancing lift with a male guest. Apparently she started to run, tripped over and landed on her face on the dance floor. The bride was not impressed.

Annoyingly for me this was pre camera phones and I only got to hear about it second hand, as that wedding clashed with a family one of mine that as bridesmaid I was obliged to attend. And during which nothing happened and everyone was well behaved. Boring!

Also talking of nightmare MILs, who can forget that infamous picture of Raquel Welch's outfit for her son's wedding!

Not a parent, but I was at a wedding where the bride's brother's girlfriend got really drunk, tried to pull his nan up onto the dance floor and bruised her wrist.
