Wow Brooklyn Beckham's statement doesn't hold back!

Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

I believe every word in his statement. I wonder how his parents are going to approach this. I can’t see them mirroring his statement with a public one of their own. It will all be leaked stuff. I just hope this is now an end to it all, and both sides now live their best lives without all this negativity.

I fully understand why this is of such interest /"viral" or whatever. But my God it's such a sad read...... nobody, not anybody posting here has a clue on the real facts here.
Probability says there's a great deal more and perhaps valid quibbles on one or both sides.
Logic and experience though, says this was an awful stunt, awfully il-advised and awfully damaging for all parties. I cannot imagine being any member of the family reading on either side of the Atlantic reading this, it's horrid stuff, there are real people behind this internet fest, I cannot believe anybody is feeling triumphant this evening sure to God.
BB seems like he's in need of some therapy and if I was VB I would be in pieces right now, who knows what she did, didn't or intended to do, but does she or anybody involved deserve this bonfire? This has all the horrid ingredients needed to tip somebody over the edge, I hope the Beckhams have the sense not to respond or prolong this.

I have a dd the same age as harper and im always surprised to see her at her parents events when she should be at school! So I do believe that they prioritised the family photos over the kids other commitments

Yeah… I wonder what Nicola’s prenup looks like… I can’t imagine that family would not be all sewn up in that aspect.

They obviously just really like dancing. Dancing at home.
Dancing with Harper. With Cruz. With each other. Why not?

I can't believe people still put Victoria and David on a pedestal and are still saying it's all Nicola's doing.

The Beckham's have been leaking stories to the media for months. David has been desperate for a knighthood for years, he's been creeping round the royals for years painting himself as such a great charitable family man whilst shsagging around supposedly having multiple affairs. He's an arsehole and his wife is a doormat so desperate to protect Brand Beckham she puts up with it, he treats her like shit (you can tell his supposed teasing is anything but). She'd be much happier if she left him but she won't.

Brooklyn has had enough, it only takes one good person to get you out of a situation. Nicola is obviously his.

I think he could and he has. Its in the main aimed at his mother. Narc mother or Narc wife both by the statement. I am struggling to understand who would speak about their mother in that way. It cant be undone

I mean, think of all the inappropriate relatives and friends at any wedding. It’s hardly unheard of. Mind you, I think accusing your mum of being sexually inappropriate while dancing with you is probably a death knell of any mother / son relationship.

I actually feel sorry for Victoria on that, even if she’s made parenting mistakes, that public insinuation is humiliating and upsetting on a stratospheric level.

The Beckhams have always seemed to me so shallow and vain and grasping and fake. The poor lad’s complaints really do have the ring of truth against that background.

This. I’ve honestly never been able to stand them - never been able to understand their popularity. They have pimped out their kids endlessly for money and are so fame hungry.

I actually feel sorry for the lad.

Everybody involved seems rather vapid and soulless.

I have no time for celebrities who turn their children into a brand, fail to give them all the true opportunities money can buy, and deprive them of the choice of whether or not to be famous. Simultaneously, I have no time for the children of celebrities who have the world at their feet but want to be rewarded for dabbling at things and demand fame without merit.

One does suspect that Brooklyn doesn't want publicity in the same way that I don't want cakes and chocolate. Is he going to take his money and do something worthwhile or personally fulfilling? We'll see.

If you look at the posts by Brooklyn’s wife, in some they are dressed the same and many crave attention too. His statement however sates he says he doesn’t want a life shaped by image, the press or manipulation. 🤔 sounds a bit like Harry and Maghan to me.

I suspect the David and Victoria response will be along the lines of "recollections may vary".

The statement would have stood up perfectly well enough without putting that rather odd mother/son dancing reference in. It makes me 🤔

they are the masters of forming a mutually beneficial bond with the media

look at how much they’ve been pushing harper the last few months - I’m sure she does want to build a brand like her mum has - but was I the only one who though that was a really odd comment?

The "power" they have is that they attract headlines, they are photogenic and will pose for photographers, and they sell stuff. Mostly by being headline worthy etc.

So, they have a strong relationship with the press. It'll be "we'll allow you photos from the birthday bash, but don't print anything from X date", or their PR let's the press know where they're going to be for those "candid" shots - these photos are valuable, so the press want to keep them onside. The press then print good stories about them. They brief the press that their daughter in law is a nightmare and the reputation sticks and gains traction.

Yes, exactly. I mean, that part of the statement itself is slightly petty in the scheme of things. But adding in that extra detail, it’s just… I don’t know. It’s bad.
