I’m struggling with relating to someone I know.

just bullet points about certain things I find grating, please tell me is this common behaviour in a social setting and if so what personality type is it?

if were at a family dinner (she’s in her 30s with kids) has a habit of always doing something like eating food off the table before everyone else is sat in a cheeky way almost like to get attention, she’s very slim so not in a greedy way, like cheekily pinching items off the plate,

will always be making jokes with her husband about herself such as him saying to her ‘oh you’ve got such a big appetite’ and they find it hilarious, it’s almost cringey and so ott, giggling at in jokes together.

often makes very suggestive jokes or comments for example like ‘oh I love big sausages’ meaning food but is clearly meant to sound innuendo driven. This is always around the in laws.

the strange thing is this woman is extremely health conscious and clearly eats a very controlled diet, but for some reason when eating at a family meal, almost likes to act as if she’s a food mad carefree type when she clearly is the opposite.

what drives her to be like this literally every time?

Insecurities?

Pathetic behaviour, she sounds socially awkward. Ignore the bitch.

Insecurities?

But why draw so much attention to herself then?

Validation?

Sorry for the one word answers, this is fairly typical behaviour.

She's doing performy things as she hopes people will either comment and validate whatever she's insecure about, or continues the behaviour so ppl will just dismiss whatever she's doing as 'just her' when in her mind she's doing something naughty or transgressive?

Dirty humor is very British.
Grazing at family gatherings could be because food is taking too long than when she eats at home.
I'm more mystified by people who comment on her appetite i just think it's rude and also the way you call it 'not greedy' i would have more sympathy and justification of an overweight person being impatiently hungry as their blood sugar is probably unstable and their appetite genuinely bigger.
You certainly don't like her! Is she SIL?
She might have an ED.. i don't believe slim people have a big appetite genuinely they probably see her eat 2500kcals in a meal once a week or a few days of 2000kcals eating or constant small calorie snacks chewed a long time so seems like this slim person is always eating when evidently they aren't. Same as a big person 200lb saying they never eat and have a small appetite. The whole family dynamic seem to obsess food and slimness.

None of this sounds that awful to me. She has a different personality to you and finds different things funny.
