Going out out

DP and I never go “out out”. We do low key dog friendly lunches. Or beer / gin festivals. Usually dog friendly, so I’m usually wearing walking trousers, boots and some sort of fleece top.
Over Christmas we saw some gigs advertised and decided we’d go for it. And booked one each for January, February and March. All low key events in our home town, but I have no idea what to wear. It’s been at least a decade since I went out after dark!
is black jeans and a cute top still a thing?!?! Almost 50, 5 foot 4, size 14 and biggish of chest.

Around here for local music gigs jeans and a nice top will definitely be a thing. Some folk are more casual with a band t-shirt and some smarter with a casual dress and trainers/boots. Just relax and enjoy your night out, no one will care what you wear
