Can you get carers allowance x2 in one household?

I currently get carers for DS. So have that on UC claim. Dd also gets dla -can dh claim for her and also be a carer or is it one carer/CA award per household?

We are considering this as both have such high needs especially night time care plus so many appointments that our current situation isn’t working out.

Yes you can do that, me and dh do that as we have 3 dc on dla.

Thankyou I wasn’t sure ! I thought I’d seen that you can’t get it for more than one child although maybe that meant one person can’t get x2 CA awards.

We are just absolutely exhausted and failing with the current set up and feeling desperate.
