Camping recommendations in the SE

I’d like to find somewhere to camp in Kent, Sussex or Hampshire which accepts both campervans and dogs, and that is near enough to a town or village that we can walk to (within a mile or two, not a hike).
We often camp in Southwold in Suffolk, which is a 10 minute walk into the town centre with a selection of lovely pubs, shops, bakeries, cafes etc. Is there anywhere else we can try?

Have a look at ukcampsites.co.uk, you can filter for what you need and look at reviews

Not sure how walkable, but lots of little villages around there. Loads to do, within reach of coast too. Port Lympne safari park , Rye, Dungeness…Ashford if you need a big town for supplies, etc

Kingsdown International Camping Centre in Deal and Nethergong near Herne Bay. Both lovely sites, both walkable to villages. Nethergong is particularly lovely.
