Well yes, it's well known that it will tell you what you want it to. How you phrase your input determines its output. It was clear from your input that that was the answer you wanted. It's worrying that people are using it as a therapist.

What did you expect it to say? 'Mate, if you had the energy to go fuck someone else, you could have thrown some chips and nuggets in the air fryer.'

So really, the lesson here is not about chat gpt but about people believing whatever they see on their social media feed, or chat forum, that supports their prejudice, and never bothering to do even the simplest or most accessible fact checking.

It's essentially a word prediction programme. The fact it can produce something correct above half of the time means that gullible people think it's correct every time, when that's not the case.
