Getting the garden ready for spring for the kids

Looking for some advice

It’s my first spring/summer of having a usable garden coming up.

it’s a big space, half decked and half temporary Astro (which I hate but we were too late to sow a lawn last winter and needed it usable)

We have a swing set and a Wendy house and a mud kitchen- but just none of these things are properly played with :(

They know how to play and love the outdoor space at school/nursery but I feel like I try and get them out to the garden with me and they just want to come in after 5 minutes or want to be in out in out in out which means I can’t supervise everyone safety.

We naturally have some ‘home days’ as part of our schedule and it would be good to be able to spend 1-2 hours out in the garden to break the day up as the weather gets better

i am going to get some open ended stuff like paintbrushes and buckets and different watering cans

we grow our own stuff too so I will get them involved with that

but what do your kids play with/like to do in the garden?

and any tips for keeping everything organised and tidy

kids all under 5
