Is the constipation or a bug? Poor appetite

My DD age 7 woke up Saturday morning appearing well but not wanting to eat much which is unusual for her. She did (sorry TMI) have a bowel movement that morning which I thought was a little loose. Prior to this last week I noticed her stools were pellet like which after googling turns out is a sign of constipation apparently? She told me her tummy and back were a bit sore but says this has stopped now.

she then had a normal bowel movement Tuesday and pellets again today (Thursday) however the hugely reduced appetite is continuing.

I am clutching at straws, could it be a bug or do you think constipation making her lose her appetite? She is happy and well apart from not wanting to eat, not even chocolate!

Her diet is not very varied despite best efforts but she drinks loads of diluted apple juice and hasn’t been constipated before.

Sounds a bit like my 8 year old last week. She had a tummy ache for several days, pellet like and then loose stools and then back to pellet like. The loose was probably the bits that were getting past the hard parts. I upped her water intake and went to the pharmacy and said that I thought she was constipated. They suggested Lactulose and after three days she had a large bowel movement, which smelt as if it had been there for a while and she has been okay since.
