This means I can go to work but would you go to work with a swollen eye even if your doctor said it is safe to be around people and not catching

Yes if it wasn't painful or it was too swollen to do my job safely/properly, it just looking awful wouldn't stop me unless I was in a customer facing role, then I'd ask my employer whether they wanted me in or not.

No, but I'm 55 & I'd have no issue with just saying it's an allergic reaction to (whatever it is) the

My allergic reaction is from hair dye. I go to the same salon each time because they cut my hair well and ive never reacted to their dye before. I've been told you need to be tested every 6 months even if you have not reacted before because you can suddenly react. When I told the hairdresser, she said she only tests o ce when the client first starts with her. She didn't see the point of frequent testing but two other salons said people must get retested every 6 months. If I made a complaint against the salon could they be shut down. I have suffered with an itchy head fir 5 days as well as a rash and swollen eye and a very painful head for 3 days which stings and I'm on painkillers and antihistamines

I feel like leaving the salon but until this happened I got on well with the hairdresser and liked the way she cut my hair
