Best immunity support you’ve found?

Exhausted mum of DS 2.5 years old here! I’ve been constantly ill for weeks (DS hasn’t been as bad as me thankfully!). Somebody suggested Blackseed Oil for immunity support to me yesterday. Has anyone else found it good? Any other supplements you’ve found work? I’d love to know. Thank you.

What’s your diet like?

PineappleMelon · 14/01/2026 08:17

I read on here that a really strong dose of vitamin D helped, I’m at the start of trying that advice.

Yes I seen a dr on TV yesterday saying you can't boost your immune system, you can only add to it (or something like that)....anyway hw recommended vit d

Everyone in the UK should be supplementing Vitamin D in the winter.

Never heard of it, but what works for me is vitamin C and zinc (I take a double dose of both) every time anyone in the house gets sick.

Day to day, a vitamin D tablet, fresh air (get out for a walk), lots of fruit and veg, no alcohol and go to bed when the kids do.

Just though of another thing: when I start to feel a cold coming I take the max dose of echinacea, and I find that really does help.

No point suggesting supplement of living on a diet of crap.

What’s your diet like OP and then you’ll get more tailored advice

Sorry I’ve had no signal all day. Thanks all who have replied. I have a healthy, varied diet, cooking from scratch etc. very little alcohol and yes totally agree on going to bed when the kids do - it’s the only way I’m surviving!

I am taking vitamin D but will look at adding C and zinc too for a while, thank you
