Carpet burn help

IstillloveKingThistle · 12/01/2026 22:34

Yep . Got a massive carpet burn .
Sadly not on my arse from rampant shagging but from lighting a candle .

A fucking candle. That will teach me so all other remaining candles are now binned .
Anyway .. any help would be much appreciated on how the fuck to get rid of this or at least reduce it.
There’s a bigger burn and a few smaller splatters.

I have had the shittiest day so kind replies only please 🙏

You mean the flame of a candle burned your carpet somehow?

Yeah - from lighting another candle ( I did it ) and dropped it .

I’d have thought, if it is burnt, there’s little to be done, surely? Cover it up or start saving for a new carpet?
Unless you mean it’s the melted wax? In which case that should scrape off.

I’ve heard that it’s possible on a plain carpet to cut out the burnt part and replace it with a new bit cut from some leftover carpet or swap it with a cut section from a place it won’t be seen eg under a cupboard/sofa. Thera probably a you tube video on how to do it. But it may not blend in.
Personally I would invest in a rug to cover it up, or a piece of furniture over the top, if that’s possible.
