Very strange situation occurred yesterday.

But my question is; is their anyway you can get a large blue bruise (about the size of a palm) to the side of your shin above your ankle in 5 minutes?

Yes, I bruise within minutes. Currently have a big blue bruise on shin that appeared pretty much as soon as I banged it

Yep,

I bruise quickly and easily and always have done.

Not sure about location you are asking but I managed to get one this afternoon on my arm, although it has a red line through the centre of it.

Hmmm, well then it is physiologically possible.

Had a very strange situation on a train yesterday and was accused of injuring a lady with my foot. Still not quite sure how it was possible but it all happened very quickly.

In those with very pale skin, blue bruising can appear almost instantly. Bruising is bleeding under the skin, fresh bruising appears blue when seen through layers of the skin, then changes colour (yellow, green, purple) as the blood is broken down and dispersed.
