7 yo growth spurts

DS turned 7 at the beginning of December. We moved abroad last year and had a bit of a rough landing, took quite some time before he was settled at school, and he hardly grew at all, but after the summer he finally seemed to be growing out of his old clothes. I bought him new joggers in October (uniforms are not required here) and he's already grown out of them, like fully and completely they're above his ankles. Should I skip a size, will this growth spurt continue? I can't afford to spend so much on new clothes every 2.5 months! (I've tried second hand but I can only do new joggers for him, he wears through second hand overnight). I measured him tonight (hadn't measured since one year ago) and he's grown 12 cm 😮

I keep joggers/ trousers that are too short in the leg and make shorts with them for the warmer months to save money x

I have a seven year old he's just about to grow out of the second pair of school shoes he's had since September and I've just had to buy the next size up in school jumpers , the previous ones were a bit big at the start of the school year. I think it might be a boy thing, my nieces seem to be able to hold onto clothes for longer. Worse is that he's getting taller and taller and no wider , so trousers that fit are difficult to find.

@TheCurious0range mine too, I buy from Lindex, they have an adjustable elastic inside of the waist for my lean DS. But yes, they were so long on him just 2.5 months ago, I thought they'd last until next winter 😭They're literally above his ankles now. (Grateful for a healthy child who is growing well but wow, need to adjust my budget!)

@BrendaSmall I like that idea!

Yep we like lindex too!
How tall is he and does he generally follow his centile? DS is 133 cm and turned 7 in December.
