How long did yours take to come back,
Waiting to start a new job and application sat on Stage 4, have Googled and this could potentially take time.

I do DBSs at work. They are currently taking about 3-4 working days to come back. Longer if you have name changes and/or multiple addresses.
Sometimes they just inexplicably get stuck though and take ages for no reason.

It's very variable. I've had lots done, both for work and voluntary things and it's varied from a few days to a couple of months. A few years ago DH and I completed applications on the same day, for the same voluntary role in the same organisation. His came back within 3 days, mine took 6 weeks and honestly, I don't have any dark secret past, so who knows why? My latest one last year was quick though, less than a week.

My dd got hers yesterday, applied in September.
Dh applied just before her and is still waiting despite already having two current enhanced dbs from the same local authority (they are all for working with children)
Dh was offered the new job in early September so gave notice and finished his previous job in October.
So he's been home 3 months now, and though I love him dearly, if he doesn't go back to work soon I won't be responsible for my actions 😆

Oh no, I need to be prepared for the long haul them.
Already feeling the financial pinch so really hoping it doesn't roll into months as really not sure what I'll do.
