Just wondering if anyone else here had a young person heading to Poland for the World Jamboree next year?
My son had his first new unit meeting recently and it’s all starting to feeling real, especially the fundraising!

Anyone fancy a chat and share fundraising ideas?

Congratulations! How did the meeting go? Is your son able to get any funding from his unit or district?

I have a young person heading off to Jamboree. Very exciting for them.

Speak to your scout group to see what events you can hold with them. We have found the other parents from our immediate district and are looking to do some smaller group fundraising with them.

Your unit may be planning to look at grants to be split between all young people too

Thank you. Like most things once we started to seriously look at the money and come up with a plan it seemed a little less scary
We are all so excited for him. He did a UK international jamboree this summer and loved every minute so this is perfect for him.
Its lovely watching them growing skills and independence isn’t it

Once you start talking about it and making plans it definitely doesn't seem as bad.

Absolutely amazing opportunity and I wish I had, had the chance to do something so incredible when I was that age. I am going to miss them terribly though! Haha
