Stair gate with no bar to step over? Retractable or fixed wooden?

I’ll fall over the traditional expanding type stair gates so looking for something with no bottom bar, which I’m assuming will have to be drilled into the wall/banister which is fine, no idea where to start though!

We have the Baby Dan retractable one both at my house and my parents. It’s great as when not in use, it’s folded up, rather than always having a big gate in the way.

The BabyDan folding one is great - https://amzn.eu/d/2jUkUT3

I have had the roller kind type and found them really hard to operate one-handed while holding child/washing.

Think it was dream baby we used years ago. They take up very little room
