Grudge of the Year

What's the longest you have managed to hold a grudge against someone / a company?

I won't wear brown because I had a brown A-line skirt and blazer when working in a terrible job at Sainsbury's. After leaving them I eventually shopped there again but it took about 10 years!

I’ve never bought a Starbucks since they started refusing to heat up bagels. They used to pop them in panini press. It’s been 25 years

I have never used since, will never again and repeatedly slag off a certain energy company anytime anyone mentions utility switching - for something they did to me about 25 years ago (their error but they treated me like shit until I proved it).

I’ve boycotted Just Eat after they delivered my McDonald’s to the wrong house and the occupants accepted and ate it! What kind of trog does that?

I have a standoff with American Express regarding £5.10 that they owe me on a very old credit card. For at least 10 years they have sent me a bill every month detailing they owe me this money and inviting me to call to get the money returned.

I won’t call, I never call anyone, they can send me a bloody cheque or whatever but they don’t, they spend a lot more in sending the letters! It’s ridiculous and if they said they’d donate it to charity, I’d be overjoyed. I just don’t want the hassle of having to call up😡

I went to about a million schools when I was a kid, and every single one had a grey skirt as part of the uniform, not black, or navy blue, just grey. Come to think of it, a lot of them had a grey jumper as well.
I have NEVER bought anything grey, be it skirt, jumper, trousers, shirts or t shirts in grey ever since, and I'm nearly 65.

I had a VW Golf from new and literally a week after it went out of warranty it developed a significant fault. The fault would have been fixed under warranty if it had occurred 'in time', it hadn't been because I hadn't been driving as I was in hospital. DH was running about trying to sort it, visit me and so on. They were SO unhelpful and just wouldn't even discuss it never mind compromise on the cost. I swore I'd never buy from the VW/Audi group again and still make 'I wouldn't' noises to friends buying/thinking of buying from them. 25 years plus - not sorry.

Several years ago (over a decade) I bought a Soda Stream, and about 2 months after I had purchased it, with extra bottles and gas cannisters, they changed the fittings on all their new machines and would be switching to new cannisters and no longer handling the old ones.

They offered me something pathetic like 20% off a new machine and would not even aknowledge how shitty it was to sell off the old models at full price and render them all obsolete just weeks later.

So, I never bought another one and I never will and fuck Soda Stream and their fucking bullshit!

When I was a student, at one point the balance of my bank account was 50p. I was expecting my grant to be paid in (yes, I am that old, it was a grant not a loan) and didn’t need to withdraw any money for a few days, so all good.
The bank (now defunct oddly enough) wrote to me to tell me I was dangerously low on funds, and charged me £1 for the privilege, putting me 50p into overdraft.
They then wanted to charge me bank charges for the next six months because I’d gone overdrawn. I closed the account, never darkened their doors again and make sure I told people at every opportunity what crooks they were.
