DD16 has been invited on a UK city break with her friends Mam. Girls are sharing a room and we will pay for DDs flight. DD will have her own card with money for whatever she wants to buy. How much should I give the Mam to cover food etc? Not sure what the set up is regarding meals at the minute. Girls might just do their own thing ( fast food) so even a token amount as a thank you for Mam..

Totally depends on which City, how long and in what manner the invite was given. 'Would dd like to tag along?' is very different to 'we'd be delighted if dd would join us, it's all paid for anyway...'

Can you give the money to DD given age? And she can return anything leftover.
