This rain is getting me down

I quite like a bit of rain but not in winter when cold, darkness and rain make for a miserable combination. And it looks like it’s going to rain every day for the next two weeks or so.

To make matters worse I have a small leak in a skylight (not major but an issue if it’s raining all day).

😢

Oh I know, I find I don't have ambition or desire to get things done when it's been like this.
So damp, dark, drab and drizzly, feels like a wasted day.
Ooh, hope your skylight doesn't leak, keep a bucket handy for next while!

I feel the same prefer it when it's cold and sunny! Seems a shame to be wishing the days away too when it's like this.

Agreed, although I don't mind so much in the evening when the kids are in bed and I'm cosy in the sofa watching tv. I haven't taken down my Christmas lights from the front window yet... tempted to stick them on just for a bit of sparkle for those driving past.

I don’t either but feel like we’ve been lucky with some lovely snow and sun recently! Trying to be positive!

hope you can get skylight fixed!

It's all those Mumsnetters who moan about summer every year. Every time someone does this, a sunbeam dies.

Roll on spring.
