Anyone else's toddler do this?

Wanting to do two things at a time. Always.

"Mummy sing twinkle twinkle little star please"
Cue DD singing the wheels on the bus at the same time.

"This book is mummy's, this book is mine"
I have to read the book whilst DD recites 'hers' from memory.

Listening to a specific song on the cd player and playing the toy piano at the same time. On repeat.

I'm sure it's a pretty normal toddler phase but my brain cannot cope with two things happening at the same time. 🤣😅

Any other crazy stuff your toddler does?

I also like

DD: can I try some of mummy's dinner
Me: it's the same
DD: can I try some of the same?
Me: okay.
DD: it's the same
Me: 🤦

Also...
Me: do you need the potty?
DD: no
Me: do you want to try?
DD: yes (and happily skips to the potty)
Every. Single. Time.

Toddlers can be crazy in a lovely way whilst they experiment with how the world works. Just play along. This phase will pass soon enough.

Mine had a thing of asking a question. I'd answer it and she'd ask it again; repeat. I finally learned she wanted me to ask her the question so she could say the answer.
