I may have lost my mind, but trying to plan a birthday surprise and I’ve come across the idea of a boudoir photoshoot!
Funnily enough it’s not something I’ve considered before but I just think it might be fun and what a surprise.

any tips?
has anyone had one?
Any recommendations for around West Midlands or Wales?
Would rather not pay too much but equally want them of a high standard or of course what’s the point.

I did a boudoir shoot 2 years ago aged 48, I did it to build confidence and it worked for me, there were two people present along with the photographer so got comfortable with it fairly quickly. I wore black lace lingerie and stockings but also a man’s white shirt so it’s not too sexy but it made me feel important. It wasn’t in UK though, so can’t help for recommendations.

I think it would be helpful to clarify your plan.

Eg it's your DH's birthday and as a surprise, you are booking yourself a boudoir photography session and will give him the photographs as one of his presents.

Or it's a female friend or relative's birthday and as a surprise, you are booking a shoot for her. Risky. She will love it or hate it. Personally, I would be absolutely mortified at the prospect, wouldn't go but would stress about how to tell you.

Are you 100% sure the recipient will like it? I’d be appalled!

I thought these died out in the 90’s!
